Educational Information, Not Medical Advice

The content on this website is provided for general educational and informational purposes only and is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, nor a substitute for the judgment of a qualified healthcare provider who knows your history. Always consult your own clinician about your specific circumstances, and never disregard or delay seeking professional advice because of something you have read here.

No Provider–Patient Relationship Through This Site

Within You Therapeutics LLC, an Illinois limited liability company, is a private-pay telehealth practice. Reading this website, submitting a form, or sending a message does not create a provider–patient relationship; care with our provider, Luke Swift, DNP, begins only after you complete our intake, consultation, and signed patient agreement.

Individualized Care and No Guarantee of Results

Every plan of care is individualized, and the appropriate approach depends on your specific condition, history, and individual factors. As our patient agreement states, no healthcare service is guaranteed to produce positive results—outcomes depend on many variable factors, and we do not promise or guarantee any specific benefit.

Off-Label, Compounded, and Non-FDA-Evaluated Therapies

Some therapies we discuss or prescribe may be considered “off-label” or may not be FDA-approved for a given age, symptom, or goal; for example, testosterone therapy is not FDA-approved for symptom management. Certain bio-identical hormones are prepared by compounding pharmacies that follow Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB) guidelines, and some of the approaches we use reflect functional, non-allopathic thinking that is not universally accepted and remains the subject of ongoing medical debate.

Hormone and Testosterone Therapy Risks

Bio-identical and other hormone therapies—including testosterone—carry real risks that we review with you individually before any treatment begins. Depending on the therapy, potential effects can include cardiovascular events, blood clots, and cancer-related side effects, among others, and no provider can guarantee that following a protocol will eliminate these risks.

Regenerative and Peptide Therapy Risks

Many peptide and regenerative therapies have limited clinical evidence, and some have had limited or no clinical trials in humans; not all clinicians agree on their use. We review the known risks, the reasonable alternatives, and the current state of the evidence with each patient before starting any such therapy.

Telehealth Limitations

As a telehealth practice, we provide care remotely, and remote care is not appropriate for every person or every condition—some situations require an in-person evaluation, laboratory testing, or a local provider. Email, text, and other general electronic messages are not a secure or guaranteed-timely way to share sensitive health information, so please use only the designated secure channels we provide.

Medical Emergencies—Call 911

This website and our electronic communications must never be used for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing an emergency or a time-sensitive medical concern, call 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room, and do not wait for a reply from us.
